Mark Scott
Mark Scott is a Legal Director and Head of the Dispute Resolution and Family team at Hansells Solicitors, bringing over 25 years of experience in litigation and sports law disciplinary cases. He has successfully represented both private individuals and corporate clients in various legal forums, including the High Court, County Court, and the Property Chamber Land Registration First-Tier Tribunal, as well as through alternative dispute resolution methods.
In addition to his extensive litigation practice, Mark is a Specialist Member of the Sport Resolutions Panel, where he represents Sports Governing Bodies and private clients on regulatory matters, focusing on disciplinary disputes. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Law from De Montfort University and is a member of the British Association for Sport and Law (BASL).
Mark's national appointments further enhance Hansells' regulatory and disciplinary services. He serves as a Director of the Norfolk Cricket Board and Chair of its Disciplinary Appeal Panel. Since 2019, he has been a member of Paddle UK's Appeals and Disciplinary Panel, adjudicating on selection appeals for athletes in the World Class Programme for the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games. Additionally, he is a Regional Discipline Panel Member for the Norfolk County Football Association and, in 2022, was appointed to the FA's National Serious Case Panel, adjudicating on serious disciplinary cases involving players, officials, and affiliated football clubs.
