Following an application and interview process, England Golf has appointed Mark Scott as a Chair of its Disciplinary and Appeals Panel. A passionate golfer himself, Mark is a respected and well-established figure in sports disciplinary matters, and his knowledge and wealth of experience make him ideally suited to the position, which plays a crucial role in ensuring fair and transparent decision-making across a range of disciplinary and appeal hearings.
The panels will address a wide range of issues, including discipline, equality, anti-doping, safeguarding, and rules of golf. Additionally, it will oversee handicapping, data protection, governance, and club matters.
In addition to this role with England Golf, Mark holds other national appointments with the FA (National Serious Case Panel), Paddle UK (formerly British Canoeing), and British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) where he serves as Judicial Panel Chair. He is also a Specialist Panel Member at Sport Resolutions, the UK’s leading independent provider of sport-specific arbitration and mediation services. Regionally, Mark is a Director and Discipline Lead at the Norfolk Cricket Board and a Discipline Panel Member with the Norfolk County FA.
